The Frosts visit Boise- September 2009

Rachelle, Greg and the kids came to visit me in Boise for a weekend. We had so much fun and I am so glad they came.

Me and two of the cutest kids in the world, Luke and Danielle. I had to hold them really tight to get them in this picture. They wanted to run around constantly- where do they get the energy?
We tried to tire the kids out at the park
But I think the adults were the ones that got worn out the most

We went to the famous World Center for Birds of Prey. The name is a little more impressive than the actual place. But the kids really enjoyed it and keep saying they want to come back and see it again.
We got to dress up as birds
See how big the birds are
And we even tried to fly- some were more successful than others. I didn't get an inch off the ground.

We also went to the Discovery Center. It was a great place with all sorts of fun activities for the the kids (and the adults enjoyed it too)
We played veterinarian

But mostly we shopped
and shopped

and shopped- it was a hit with all ages.

Lake Powell -2009

So, as you can tell, I am still way behind in my "blogging." But I am trying to catch up. Here are some pictures from some of the great Lake Powell trips I took last summer with my family. I love going to Lake Powell every summer and I can't for it to warm up enough to go again soon.

Luke was such a big help getting ready for the trip
Me and Danielle enjoying the shade in the "cave"
Megan is rocking the Sky Ski
It's time to ski!!!

IT'S NOT REALLY LAKE POWELL WITHOUT FAMILY PORTRAITS

Dad, Mom and Me
Devin, Joann and Lindsay Davidson
Megan, Ethan and Alex Burgin
Samuel, Hazel, Daniel and Amber Davidson
Rachelle, Danielle, Greg and Luke Frost
Sydney, Anita, Taylor, Payten and Collin Davidson

Some pretty fierce pirates- wouldn't want to be attacked by them!
Some girls just know how to relax!
Who do you think she learned this from? Her favorite Aunt Amber?
Daniel got his first Lake Powell trip- he spent most of his time soaking up the sun.

Rafting the Gauley River- September 2009

In September I was able to go whitewater rafting on the Gauley River in West Virginia. For most of the year the river is just a trickle of water. But, every fall when they open up the dam, the river turns into one of the top whitewater rivers in the US- or so I was told. It was amazing. It was the first real whitewater rafting I have done and now I definitely want to do more.

We were attempting to "surf" and I am about to fall out of the boat
Rafting Pillow Rock rapid, we were all supposed to touch the rock with our paddles, as you can see we didn't all make it.
